Director of Special Education
Demonstrate an understanding of federal, state, & local mandates governing the determination & delivery of special education services.
Demonstrate an understanding of requirements for an approved MA public day school/program.
Demonstrate knowledge of principles to provide effective instruction of positive behavioral supports, Applied Behavior Analysis, Trauma-sensitive environments, and social-emotional learning environments for program staff.
Demonstrate understanding of Mass Curriculum Frameworks and Common Core State Standards.
Prepare and facilitate all special education related paperwork for IEP and other team meetings.
Ensure any/all state testing is completed as required
Conduct review of programmatic data.
Seek input from member districts.

Occupational Therapist
The Cape Cod Collaborative is seeking an Occupational Therapist to work full time with students in Collaborative programs and member districts.Responsibilities include: Performing screening and evaluations to assess student strengths and needs. Providing written evaluation reports in accordance to mandated special education timelines. Providing therapy services to students in accordance with student IEPs. Completing IEP progress notes and reports. Attending IEP meetings as necessary. Consulting with evaluation team members and special education teachers. Assigning, constructing or requesting appropriate adaptive equipment and devices for students and/or classroom and providing training in its usage to appropriate personnel.Other responsibilities / duties as assigned by Director.

Teacher – High School
The Cape Cod Collaborative is seeking a High School multi subject teacher for Waypoint Academy, an alternative education public day program, for the 2023-2024 school year. This program supports students with behavioral, social, and learning challenges with a positive team approach. The ability to physically handle interventions with students and the ability to demonstrate positive communication skills are crucial.

Special Needs Teachers
The Cape Cod Collaborative has openings for Special Needs Teachers for the 2023-2024 school year. The Cape Cod Collaborative operates public day schools for students with significant learning challenges, utilizing a highly-specialized team approach to support student strengths and help build independence. This is a challenging, yet rewarding opportunity to learn and grow professionally. The STAR Program (Osterville) is a specialized program supporting students with significant learning and behavioral challenges. There are openings for teachers with certification in Moderate Disabilities and certification in Intensive Special Needs. Waypoint Academy (Yarmouth) supports students in middle and high school in an alternative school setting. The Collaborative is seeking teachers with Moderate Disabilities (5 – 12) certification.


Speech & Language Pathologists
The Cape Cod Collaborative has immediate openings for full time and part time Speech & Language Pathologists to support student needs for member school districts. Responsibilities include evaluation of speech-language disorders for individuals age 3 to 21 with consideration of educational, medical, social, and psychological factors; provision of student-centered direct therapy, indirect therapy, modeling, and consultation within classrooms and on community outings; maintenance of records as required by law; documentation of progress and adjustment of goals, as needed; attendance at team, consultation, and staff meetings; parent training, as needed; participation in in-service training, conference attendance. Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication systems is preferred.
In order to adequately perform the professional and complex duties of this position, a minimum of a master’s degree (or equivalent) in speech-language pathology is required. Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist license is required.


Paraprofessionals
Special Education Paraprofessionals / Teacher Assistants are needed for the STAR Program in Osterville. Experience with students with disabilities and/or behavioral challenges is preferred. We are seeking applicants who a willing to grow in the field of special education. The Cape Cod Collaborative has partnered with Bridgewater State University to provide a pathway to achieving teacher certification in special education.


School Bus Drivers
School bus drivers require a Class B CDL license with air brake, passenger and school bus endorsements. The Collaborative offers paid training to qualified applicants. $28 – $30 / hour ($42 / hour on Nantucket) plus up to $2,000 new hire incentive.

7D Van Drivers
Van drivers must have a “7D Certificate” to transport students. The Collaborative offers the required pre-service training and in-service training. $23 / hour

DRIVER APPLICATION PACKET

School Bus Monitors
School bus monitors assist students on and off the bus and maintain order on the bus while in route. Must be able to lift 40 lbs., move about the bus, and assist in an emergency evacuation if required. $20 / hour.
